On Thursday 4th March 2021, it is WORLD BOOK DAY!
To celebrate this special event, our English tasks this week are going to be focused upon our favourite books.
Look out for activities that we will share below during this week...
We would like you to think about the different books that you enjoy reading and where you like to read!
It would be wonderful if you could spend some time reading this week. You may like to explore books on your own or you could share a book with somebody in your family!
What is your favourite book? Why is this book your favourite?
Who is the author of this book? What is on the front cover of your favourite book?
You can record your favourite book, using a template that is in the paper pack you will receive in the post this week ~
We have included details about World Book Day in your paper pack of work, including information about an exciting competition that you can take part in from home!

We are going to be continuing to complete work towards our Lent unit this week.
This week is also special because on Monday 1st March, we will be celebrating Saint David's Day! Saint David is the Patron Saint of Wales and 1st March is his Feast Day.
An RE Task from Mrs Ward - Can you make your own daffodil picture to celebrate Saint David's Day?
Saint David is the Patron Saint of Wales and the daffodil is a flower that is a special symbol of this country.
Mrs Ward would like you to try and create your own daffodil picture to celebrate this special Feast Day.
There are resources in your paper pack of work that will help you to complete this task and the photographs below will also give you some ideas!
A daffodil is also a flower that we associate with Spring time and new beginnings.
During the Season of Lent, we try to make a new beginning and become more like Jesus.
Could you write a prayer, asking Jesus for help as you try to make a new beginning?
You can use this template to help you ~ Prayer Template
Inside the paper pack of work that has been sent to you this week, you will also find the materials to make your own Lenten cross.
You can use this to record your own special Lenten Prayer, asking for God's help during this season:

I will email you the details about how to access this workshop.

What I Want To Learn Week...
Last week we began to think about how we could Vote to make a choice and 'Use our Voice'.
We were thinking about activities with three different themes...
Crazy Science Junk Art All You Can Eat
Inside the paper pack of work that you will be receiving this week by post, we have included some ideas about how you could complete activities within each of these themes.
Remember that you don't need to complete all of the activities, you decide which ones you would like to do!
We would really like to see what you have chosen to complete when we return to school next week!
Signs of Spring...
We have seen some lovely sunshine during the last few days and there are signs that the Season of Spring is close by!
Have you seen any signs of Spring yet? Look out for them when you look out of your window or when you go for a walk.
You could take a photograph of these to share with us at school or draw a picture of them!
You may see new flowers beginning to grow or new buds and leaves beginning to grow on the trees!
These are some signs of Spring that Mrs Molloy has spotted!
We have also included resources in your paper packs of work that will help you to make your own Spring flowers!
There are a wide range of PE activities that you could try to complete this week! How many of these challenges do you think you could try?
