Year One Gallery

Take a look at the fantastic work we have been doing in Year One.

Our Altar in our classroom provides us with a focal point for prayer.

We have explored the story of Creation during our first half term in Year One and we have given thanks for our beautiful world.

We completed mindfulness colouring during World Mental Health Day in October and we reflected upon the range of feelings and emotions that we may experience in our daily lives.

We have been exploring 'Technology Around Us' and we have used computer software to create our own patterns and pictures.

We have marked special Seasons in the Liturgical Year.  We enjoyed creating Advent banners as part of our preparations in the weeks leading to Christmas.

We have enjoyed working collaboratively to complete tasks during this half term.

During our Topic lessons about 'Colours of Creation', we created posters to reflect upon our Big Question, 'Why must we care for God's Creation?'

We made our own stick puppets to support us in our retelling of the story of the Annunciation and we reflected upon the words, thoughts and feelings of Angel Gabriel and Mary.
