Challenge 15: HOT SHOT HEROES CHALLENGE (3RD JULY 2020)
Another challenge alongside Sky VIP where you could win the chance to take part in a special virtual Q&A session with former Premier League footballer and presenter Jamie Carragher! For this week’s challenge, we want you to become a matchday reporter. Premier League managers and players take part in lots of media interviews. Before matches they are asked about what they think might happen, and afterwards they review their team’s performance and explain how they feel about the result. Your task is to prepare a question to ask a footballer about this Premier League season. When creating your question make sure to think about the player’s feelings, thoughts and motivation. You can use our Hot Seat Heroes resources to help you, including our sample questions worksheet. |

YOU'LL NEVER WALK ALONE
Sung by Liverpool fans in 1963, the song quickly became the football anthem of Liverpool F.C., which adopted "You'll Never Walk Alone" as its official motto on its coat of arms. The song has been adopted by many different teams since 1963 including the following; Celtic (after a 1966 Cup Winners Cup semi-final against Liverpool at Anfield, and is now sung by Celtic fans prior to every home European home tie), Borussia Dortmund, FC Twente and Feyernood.
You'll Never Walk Alone
YOU'LL NEVER WALK ALONE
The most recent recording of the song was in 2020. Captain Tom Moore, Michael Ball & The NHS Voices of Care Choir recorded a digital single of You'll Never Walk Alone. 100% of Captain Tom, Michael Ball and Decca Records’ proceeds from the single will be donated to Captain Tom Moore’s 100th Birthday Walk in aid of NHS Charities Together which supports the incredible NHS staff and volunteers caring for COVID-19 patients. On 24 April, it went straight to No. 1 in the weekly "Official" UK Singles Chart making Moore the oldest person to achieve that position and meaning that he was at No. 1 on his 100th birthday.
